Creating long-term shared value is at the core of Peoples Energy’s business philosophy; we measure and consider the impacts of our decisions for all our stakeholders. We believe that preserving, protecting and, where necessary, remediating the natural environment is essential for the wellbeing of current and future generations.
Peoples Energy has been heavily involved in the procurement of solar power plants across Bangladesh in partnership with various governmental bodies. Working with both foreign experts and local public organisations, we have undertaken feasibility studies to explore, promote, advise and install smart meter systems across the power and utilities grid to reduce both usage and back-up generator costs for the public. The overall outcome of this Grid Stability System has been to provide maximum renewable energy contribution and fuel savings while ensuring reliable power generation.
Our energy projects are helping to transition Bangladesh towards a low-carbon economy, whilst providing future job growth and economic benefits to the communities in which we operate. In addition, Peoples Energy projects are also contributing to Australia’s meeting its renewable energy targets and SDG Goal 7: access to affordable and clean energy; as such, we aim to lead Australia’s transition towards a clean-energy future as well.
52.50 MW HFO Power Plant is situated in Katpotti, Munshigonj, Bangladesh.
